ARPHβs Northeast region has been fortunate to recently add reps in NH, MD and eastern MA. This means we can again process applications and rescue dogs from these areas. We need your help. We are in need of foster homes and general volunteers in Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Massachusetts and central New York. The state of New Hampshire is in need of general volunteers. To become a foster home or general volunteer please visit http://www.aussierescue.org/Volunteer/-Volunteer-Application and complete an application.
We are in need of representatives in Delaware, Maine, New York (western), Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, and West Virginia. What does a rep do, you may ask? Reps are the center of the rescue activities in the area. They are the people who approve adoption applications, determine if a dog is suitable to enter the ARPH program, and are the ones who work with the volunteers in an area. Reps should have strong leadership skills, be a team player, and be organized. They should also have Aussie experience and understand dog behavior. If you would like further information about becoming a rep please message us.
I am interested in finding out more info. I have two aussie and one we rescued from a bad situation, but not from a rescue agency. We have had to work with him on aggression issues and he is much better.
Please reach out to the rep in the post. Her email is included.
